Observation Narrative ? The habitat is an openly wooded depression pond located in an extensive "flatwoods" that is managed for pine silviculture. It is hydrologically connected to the pond captured by PRIG001 by a patch of wet, shrubby forest. Plot captures the more open, thinly wooded, linear, center of the wetland. Water marks on the trees range from 30 to 45 cm above the ground. Compositionally, this stand is very similar to PRIG001 but has much higher herbaceous cover contributed by dense patches of Carex joorii, Panicum rigidulum var. pubescens, and Saccharum baldwinii.
