Observation Narrative ? Plot is situated on the slightly sloping rim of a Shenandoah Valley sinkhole pond. This sinkhole feature covers about 1.6 hectares and includes two adjacent ponds connected at high-water (aka Twin Pond). GPNF027 is on the rim of the adjacent pond. On the survey date the pond was slightly drawn down and the exposed area densely vegetated, primarily with Eriocaulon aquaticum, Helenium virginicum, Boltonia montana, and Proserpinaca palustris.
