The plot is located within the boundary of Audra State Park. On the bank above the plot is a thin patch of Hemlock flood plain forest. There is a sandy depositional bank 30 m upstream and across the river.;Frequently flooded boulder pile located along a slower stretch of the Middle Fork River. There are signs of trampling on the vegetation and some garbage in the plot. The patch is mostly open with short shrubs dominating, however, there are 2 large T3 Fraxinus in the center of the plot.
Representativeness
Plot sized patch of river scoured shrub prairie. Similar to patches sampled on the Gauley, Meadow, Tygart, and New Rivers.
