Wildlife Management Area behind a locked gate. Bottom of Leatherwood Creek has openings maintained by DNR. Area was depopulated when R. D. Bailey was built. Putative virgin forest occurs on ridge starting with this plot and continuing through BAIL.7.;Convex nose of side ridge on warm aspect. Community is a deciduous forest dominated by dry site oaks. Subcanopy includes oaks, hickories, sourwood, black gum, and red maple.
