Across the Little Bluestone is a thin band of Platanus occidentalis cobble bar. To the west of the point, uphill, is a rich oak hickory forest. There is an old road which dissects the mixed mesophytic cliff break and the rich oak forest.;The point is located above a red shale cliff band. The cliff is roughly 15 m high with several rock shelves carved out by the river during high water. The lower shelves were surveyed but the Berberis was only found growing at the top of the cliff. Only two shrubs were found, both in flower and they were growing out of the reach of browsing deer. A thin band of mixed mesophytic forest occurs in relationship to the cliff break.
