South of the point ca. 100 m is a successional white pine forest. The forest community adjacent to the woodland is dominated by oak. There is an old road which follows the Little Bluestone located east ca. 40 m downhill from the point. The park boundary is located to the west ca. 100 m uphill from the point.;This area is an old clearing with a successional woodland dominated by black locust and black walnut. Myosotis macrosperma is all over, especially on roads and other disturbed areas. The woodland floor is covered with a dense herb layer dominated by Verbesina alternifolia and Verbesina occidentalis.
Representativeness
Semi-natural successional woodland. Point was placed due to relative abundance of flowering plants needed for the Bluestone Floristic Inventory. Additional notes, not found on data sheet were added by BPS 12-15-2005.
