This is a varient of the oak - hickory community which seem typical of the acidic gorge midslopes. The community seems to vary between dominant oak, hickory and whether or not pine is present. Between this plot and the ridge line was a small limey shale cliff brake.;Fire scars found on the T2 trees.

Large patch community. A gradient of the what I have been calling the Bluestone Gorge matrix community. The oak is again dominated by Quercus alba but the hickory is now represented by Carya alba. This plot also has a pine component dominated by Pinus str
