This seems to be a continuation of the community from BLUE.43. It continues almost to the river. At the river there is a thin cobble bar commnuity (BLUE.42). On the midslope above the plot is the matrix oak - hickory community. At the shoulder break above this is a high Tsuga cove (BLUE.36).;The area is very wet. Most of the litter / duff layer appears to have washed away. Leaving the exposed forest floor coverd by small shaley rocks and mudd. Several spice bushes have already began losing their leaves this season.
Representativeness
Small patch, woodland. The T2 layer is dominated by Robinea psuedoacacia and Ulmus rubra. Dense herb cover. It is similar to BLUE.43. However, it is less open, slightly steeper and has fewer weedy species.
