More mesic ravine slopes have mixed-mesophytic, successional tuliptree, and oak - sugar maple forest. Developed recreation sites are in bottom of Camp Creek. Interstate noise heard in distance.;Broad, nearly level ridge with deep, fine textured soil. Community is a forest dominated by oaks with scattered large black gum. There are large rotted stumps in stand, which are probably second growth. Plot has a fallen dead tree which damaged a small black gum many years ago.Short shrub layer has abundant oak regeneration along with blueberry and greenbrier, but there is little oak in the tall shrub layer - possibly due to heavy deer herbivory.

Large patch of sub-xeric oak / blueberry forest. Plot may have above average cover by black gum (nice big trees).
