Large nature preserve in an agriculture settling. Towards the creek it opens up to a narrow zone of alder. The creek bed is an herb community type with Torreyochloa pallida var. fernaldii (EAB 1401), Glyceria striata (collected), Sparganium, Juncus, etc…;Seepage/overflow swamp with canopy dominated by black ash and some hemlock and white pine. Drier islands are formed around tree bases with heavy cover by skunk cabbage in the low flats. Forest includes tip mounds and leaning trees. Several rich indicators are present in addition to black ash e.g. Lindera benzoin, Chrysosplenium americanum.
