Spiraea alba shrubland borders community away from stream. On the other side a strip of Juncas effusus/Hypericum densiflorum separates bluejoint grass from large cottongrass peatland. Plot is within CVNWR, part of a large open wetland complex.;Nearly pure stand of bluejoint grass along streamside. A few old down logs look bleached and may have been deposited by the stream. Stream bank vegetation included in plot, which otherwise has little diversity (98% Calamagrostis on levee and behind levee), with a small amount of Spiraea alba.
