Finger wetland off of a large open swamp/bog complex in open valley logged in the early 1900's and grazed after that. Adjacent communities in finger include Hypericum densiflorum, Spiraea alba, and Salix. Upland is open black cherry / braken fern. The wetland complex is owned and protected by the CVWR. The surrounding upland is privately owned and subject to logging.;Herbaceous seep community in a finger off of Big Cove. Drainage is a series of small patch communities in a mosaic related to beaver activity, seepage and fluvial processes. Small balsam fir on edge of community. This seepy area is dominated by Carex gynandra with Thelypteris palustris. Some shrubs occur on the dryer hummocks (atypical).
