Floodplain of Glade Run within the CVWR. Carex folliculata herbaceous vegetation to the west, and Spiraea on the stream terrace to the east.;The community occurs within the CVWR, so it is well buffered from many disturbances. This community could be a tall shrub (alder)/ herbaceous, but we have placed our plot where the graminoid openings dominate. An oxbow pond is about 50 meters from the plot, with Glade Run just slightly farther away. Sphagnum occurs on the hummocks.
Representativeness
This graminoid community extends into the alder shrubland and probably repeats along Glade Run, although this is the first time we have seen it.
