The plot is located on a moderate sideslope. Signs of logging can be found within the the plot. No signs of training excercises within the plot.;The plot was located on the border of the tract. It has not been logged as hard as the Briery mountain tract. The stand consists mainly of red oak, chestnut oak, and red maple in the overstory. The forest canopy is broken allowing diffuse light to penetrate to the forest floor. These sunny gaps are densley covered with Smilax rotundifolia and Vaccinium pallidum.
