Large tract of land owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. Much of the land is forested. Although the primary use of the area is likely recreation involving the lake. There is a trail ~30m south of the plot. East Lynn Lake is located ~0.2 miles west of the plot.;Somewhat dry forest of mixed oak (quercus coccinea, alba, prinus and velutina) and hickory growing on south facing midslope. The low shrubs and herbs have been heavily browsed by deer. The forest appears rather young, possibly third growth. Most of the trees have dbh's less than 30cm.
