Ten meters below the plot is veg plot GARI.134 a pitch pine-scarlet oak/heath woodland. Beyond that is a large cliff break +/- 30 ft. Across the river is the mouth of Sugar Creek. On the plateau above is a large mixed oak forest on the flats broken up by "ferny gullies" plot GARI. 136.;Hot dry forest dominated by white oak and pitch pine. Several small exposed rock shelves are located in the plot. The shrub layer here is much less dense than the adjacent woodland plot.
