This community seems to represent the majority of the surrounding area, occaisionally interrupted by cleared dirt trails or meadow communities. Pasture opening contain European grass, exotic herbs, seeps concentrated in road grades. The entire pine "plantation" has old roads criss-crossing these areas contain small 100 m2 herbaceous seeps (Eleocharis tenuis, Scirpus cyperinus, Typha latifolia). These appear as ELU 2131.;Believed to be an area which was stripped for fill to create the Summersville Dam. Successional pine forest area with occaisional seeps in cleared areas. Majority of PiVi are covered in lichens. Some litter potentially from human use, or dragged in by animals. Slight noise from highway. Old trails cut through the forest. Uncertain if this is a natural community or planted. Even aged stand probably 35-40 yrs. About the same age as the dam. Thin soils on top of a hard pack of silty clay loam and sandstone chunks.
