Linear band between upland spruce - pitch pine forest and open cottongrass - cranberry - beakrush peatland. Community split by road to Stony River Dam. See GRAN.12. Bog is heavily disturbed by ATV traffic. Typha patch extends from road 60m north and 20m wide.;In northern patch blueberries & huckleberries have higher cover, along with wild raisin. Dalibarda repens cover is 3% in some parts of northern stand. Pitch-pine - Nemopanthus community lies along wetland margin, separating upland forest from open peatland. Small patch of pines extend into open peatland and larger pines extend into upland spruce forest. This community is an edge but not an ecotone, since it contains rich shrub diversity unique to the edge area. It is unlikely that this community floods from Helmick Run, which is on the other side of the wetland. It receives seepage from the upper forest. No ATV or hiking trails cross this community, but road crosses community
