Large expanse of limestone on mountain top with a variety of open habitats, some in good condition, others degraded by exotics, home development, and grazing.;Rocky, eroded slope on Helderberg limestone. Community is an open woodland to wooded prairie with junipers and deciduous trees over native grasses including side oats gramma. Site is on private land and is grazed but cattle seem to prefer the more level ridgetop. Successional history of stand is uncertain, appears to have been cleared for pasture, but species composition is mostly native.
