TNC preserve. Adjacent cliff edge has open area with pine regeneration.;Bouldery ground on ridgeslope just back from a high cliff band formed by a water gap. Forest dominated by Chestnut & Red oaks with mostly smaller Pignut & Sugar Maple. There is a prominent grassy herb layer in less rocky areas that is becoming infested with weeds. Lots of windfall and live trees stressed from gypsy moth - bootstrap.
