Younger stands of Oak - White Pine on the side slopes abut this stand, with Black Locust - Moosewood in recently logged areas on the slopes. The stand is in a high wind resource area.;Fairly large Oak trees with little understory and few herbs. Coarse woody debris is abundant. Leaf litter keeps bryophytes to low cover. Most Hemlock is dead on this ridgetop. Black Locust snags may indicate earlier logging / grazing.
