River right near the top of a bedrock ledge water fall, on a wide shallow river, downstream from Limestone valley. Main channel has bedrock islands and patches of Justicia. Inland is a large island with an extensive floodplain forest. Railroad tracks and Phyllite cliffs across river.;Bedrock Phyllite is exposed as sloping ledges which are partially filled with gravel and cobble. Community is a woodland or an open forest with a mixture of sycamore, ash, elm, and silver maple. Trees are battered, but most are still relatively tall but shrub layer is suppressed somewhat by high energy flooding. There are lots of driftwood piles exposed. There is dense to moderate herb cover in patches and other areas essentially bare.

Linear island between main river and side channel near upstream side of Bull Falls.
Regular flooding. Many exposed roots. Tree mortality due to flood events/stress keeps canopyrelatively open. Corbicula (asiatic clams). Water pollution and weeds. (exotic plants, erosion)
