Landscape Narrative |
Plot is embedded in large stand of calcareous forest with some large (50cm dbh) trees (Quercus muehlenbergii, Q. stellata, Carya sp.). Rt. 55 runs directly below.;Cliff habitat is small enough to be heavily influenced by the surrounding calcareous forest, but it contains some typical cliff species, e.g. hairy lipfern. The entire slope, including the cliff area, is weedy with highly invasive species (tree of heaven, garlic mustard).
