Remote mountain top owned by hunt clubs to maintain large forest block for wildlife. Access by ridgetop, gated road.;Upper slope of mountian ridge on NW flank. Rocky substrate with surficial sandstone. Community is a deciduous forest dominated by somewhat stunted red and rock oak. There is abundant woody debris and dead snags. Subcanopy includes oaks, hickories, red maple and witch-hazel. There is deep leaf litter and sparse herb layer.
