The plot is located adjacent to the railgrade to the N. To the S across Evitts Run is a thin woodland of green ash - silver maple over a dense herb layer of cattails. Between the cattails and the aquatic bed is a thin band of American burreed. The property is held as an easment by the TNC. Beyond the woodland the S is an open agricultural field of soybeans.;Open and sunny aquatic bed with submerged and floating aquatic plants along the edge (Canada waterweed and least duckweed), The shallow areas have swamp pennywort and water cress. Representativeness
Small patch of open aquatic bed community with Elodea canadensis, Lemna minor and Hydrocotyle ranunculoides. Plot was placed to sample the open water and follows Evitts Run somewhat east. Linear commuinty extends along Evitts Run in both directions.
