Open wetland with upland forest buffer on private land. Landowner is interested in creating an educational wetland for public (and esoecially children) to explore.;Marl wetland along Rocky Run. Eleven parallel drainages lines 4 to 12 m spacing visible on air photos. Historically grazed, but never plowed ( land owner states that unplowed history dates back to 1730 in his family's records). Current mowing on west side of Rocky Run, but east side is not managed. New tree plantings buffer the wet meadow edge. Several very large swamp white oak grow along old fence line and near old homestead. Rocky Run shifts its channel back and forth over 15 m (50 ft) width in the wet meadow, accoriding to landowner. Young sycamore are abundant. This area may have had more forested wetland in the past, or it may have been kept open by burning and/or grazing.

Observation point includes narrow burreed channel of Rocky Run and about 400 square meters of adjacent wet meadow, avoiding areas of excessive cattails and/or recent mowing.
