The Polly Hollow Trail is approximately 40m downslope. Several pines are scattered throughout the vicinity. Adjacent communities are successional tulip tree. Opposite aspect is oak-hickory sugar maple.;The overstory is not very dense and there is fallen wood throughout the site. The oldest trees in the area appear to be Quercus coccinea and Quercus prinus with an understory of red maple and blueberries at ground level. There is a particularly deep duff layer for this type.
