Wildlife Management area becoming heavily impacted by oil and gas development. Forests are primarily oak dominated.;Terraced lower slope just above a high gradient ephemeral stream channel. Cool aspect and protected by steep slopes in all directions. Community is a deciduous forest dominated by large red oak with slightly smaller basswood also reaching the canopy. Beech is dominant in the tall shrub layer and is also in canopy in patches outside plot. Herb layer is not lush but includes several mesophytic indicators.
