West aspects on knob are oak with sparseblueberry. Steep east slopes has young sugar maple and buckeye, was pobably logged more recently. To south are young successional forests and thickets around old farmstead.;Upland knob which looks over the broad wetlands of the Meadow River floodplain. Small bowl near top of ridge on northeast aspect, with fine textured acidic soil. Community is 2nd growth deciduous forest dominated by red and white oak and sugar maple saplings. Herb layer is sparse, with moderate diversity.
