See previous plot sheets (MONF.116-120). This community lies between an extensive alder thicket (MONF.120) and a Carex atlantica type which occupies the middle of the glade. This community intermixes with MONF.122 and extensive Carex utriculata stands in Long Glade.;Wet, somewhat hummocky herb community dominated by three way sedge. Under the Dulichium are species more typical of an acidic "bog" (Pogonia, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Drosera). There are a few clumps of Osmunda and Alnus scattered in the community.
Representativeness
Small patch on edges of open glade. May represent invasion of Dulichium on old acidic "bog" community due to paludification (in contrast to Big Glade).
