Excellent context with a protected upland forest of Spruce/Hemlock/Black Ash to the south and Big Glade, A National Forest Botanical Area, to the north.;Transition between upland and Big Glade. The moat contains trees and tall shrubs on hummocks with much dead and down wood. Hollows have standing water over deep muck. No trails or roads nearby. Very little disturbance.
Representativeness
This plot is in a relatively wide part of the linear moat south of Big Glade, and is probably a good representative of the community.
