Riparian corridor with hemlock and Betula alleghaniensis floodplain forests in many reaches. Road follows creek on left. Primitive camp sites along this stretch of road and creek.;Creekside cobble bar zone of moderate gradient riffle zone. One side of creek has a sunny cobble island, the other a more narrow zone. Herbaceous community dominated by Carex torta with a few tall grasses and composites in less scoured positions. Sedges rooted in sand betrween cobble catches additional sediments during floods. Large floods likely wipe out these patches from time to time.
