Between humps occupied by communities similar to this plot are hollows with higher cover by Rhododendron and bryophytes with some wet spots. Downslope in creek bottom.;Dissected toe slope above an open creek bottom. Forest of well spaced large spruce and hemlock with buttressed roots, growing on hummocks (old stumps or rootwads). Soil has wetland features, but plant community is not diverse and has an upland character.
Representativeness
Typical of this low diversity, even-aged forest plot is on a hump between two hollows which have small, poorly developed seep communities.
