Limestone substrate with surficial limestone rocks. Although there was no acid reaction indicating limestone, the herbaceous layer reflects high soil fertility, and there is a sinkhole about 10 meters from plot. North facing slope. Cool and shady with a few canopy gaps from fallen trees.
