Uphill is hwy 66 with losts of new housing development related to Snowshoe ski resort. Downhill is steep rocky area then successional forets with rock piles. Below that is plot MONF.332 (oak - shagbark forest).;Gently sloping ridge spur with southerly aspect. Second growth forest with rotten sawn stumps. Forest dominated by medium sized red oak and sugar maple with many rich site herbs in the understory. Possible Green Brier or Mauch Chunk parent material (soils mapped as Cateche).
Representativeness
Seems typical of rich-mesic soils on gentle mountain slopes.
