Extensive second growth forests with few weeds and variable geologic strata.;Dry-mesic forest on gentle slope of ridge spur. Putative limestone bedrock. Mixed forest with red oak, black walnut, and sugar maple. Herb layer dominated by Carex woodii in clonal patches and Elymus hystrix elsewhere mixed with rich-site herbs. Large sugar maple snag forms canopy gap.
