Adjacent forest on upper slope is stunted chinquapin oak, red oak and hop hornbeam. On top of slope is a small patch of grassy knob with Linum lewisii.;Outcrop of limestone forming ledges and cliff ~ 10-20 m high, shaded by a few trees on cliff faces and others rooted below and above, but also included some well - exposed vertical rock. Trees on cliff face include white cedar, red cedar, and hop hornbeam. Ebony sedge is abundant on ledges with mosses, and other herbs. White cedar is rooted in such precarious positions that they fall apart, reproducing from lower branches, some providing significant cover hugging vertical rock.
