Stand lies between Forest Road 44 and Forest Road 35, on a narrow ridge between the valley roads.;Second growth hemlock-hardwood forest with red spruce in understory. A few snags and down wood in varying stages of decay. Litter is mostly deciduous, beech trees are sickly. No sign og hemlock wooly adelgid. Fairly young, even-aged stand that looks successional to spruce-hemlock-beech (CEGL006029).
