The plot is at the top of the northern fin of Seneca Rocks, located ca. 75 m S of the observation platform.;Large SE facing vertical cliff face broken up by small ledges which support gnarled pitch pine and heath shrubs. Area is heavily used by recreational climbers and hikers since the 1970's. This section of the rocks is somewhat accessible by hikers who venture beyond the overlook platform. The cliff is covered with crustose lichens, mostly Dimelaena. There are also areas with dense cover by Umblicaria mamulata.
