To the N, along the trail, is a large block of Spruce forest. To the S along the trail the forest is mostly deciduous, dominated by yellow birch, American beech, and black cherry.;Open sunny boulderfield with Betula lenta - Sorbus americana / Cladonia spp. The community has heavy lichen and moss cover around the bases od the deciduous trees. The open rock has some cover by dust and crust lichens. The Tea Creek Mtn. trail cuts along the Western edge of the plot. There is a Geo Cache located within the plot. Old charcoal found in crevices between rocks. Opening created by fire after turn of the century logging? Soils too thin and rocky for forest?
