Narrow river penninsula created by Dry Fork River. The river is located downslope ca. 0.1 of a mileSE. The surrounding forest on this SE slope is rich and mesic with red oak - sugar maple / stinging wood nettle dominating. The cliff goes in both directions .100 m. It is broken up every 50 m by earthen "shoots".;Steep mid-slope above the Dry Fork River. Rock appears to be sandstone made up of thin red layers (1 -2 in) towards the top of the cliff. This section overhangs the lower portion which has an orange-brown color and is equally fractured. Most of the rock is shaded. Eventhough few if any trees are rooted on the cliff. The cliff band has trees at the top and bottom obscuring it from aerial photos. The cliff has several small ledges. The bottom of the cliff slopes into the hill but is overhung by upper half of the cliff.
