Campground is uphill.;Steep slope on warm aspect above river with maintained trail (and difficult casual trails) through an open forest of mixed oaks (white, red, scarlet, chestnut) over a dense tall shrub layer dominated by giant rhododendron. Oak regen maybe suppressed by shrub cover.
