Up 2 meter tall bank is a narrow zone of mixed deciduous-spruce forest then is a levy and behind that is a more pure hydric spruce forest (see plot MONF.70). Downstream above the bank is a depositional bar floodplain community dominated by tall herbs (plot MONF.71);Shaded riverscour cobble bar dominated by Carex emoryii cf.. Tail of bar where river starts to turn. Upstream end of plot is stabilized fine sediments with higher diversity of tall herbs. Downstream end is mostly Carex emoryi cf., standing water, and bare cobble.
Representativeness
10 meter wide linear zone in shaded scour zone of river channel. Carex emoryii is dominant at river edge and at downstream end of cobble bar.
