TNC Nature preserve in an otherwise highly fragmented rural landscape. Cool aspect supports oak-hickory-sugar maple forest.;Gently sloping ridge nose with warm (southwest) aspect in a hilly dissected plateau landscape. Community is a deciduous forest dominated by dry site oaks with red maple in subcanopy. Large trees are scattered in stand and there is some downfall which creates sunny gaps with abundant oak regeneration. There is moderate cover by blueberries in the shrub layer.
