Dry oak community appears to continue further down spit. To east is recently burned area coming back with abundant yound Robinia and Quercus spp.. Dryest, rockiest positions have Pinus virginiana. Around corner of Diamond Point below cliffs is a boulder field forest sampled by plot 258.;Hot dry side ridge below two sets of cliff faces. Forest dominated by short Quercus prinus with some Pinus virginiana, especially on ridge crest. Understory of Vaccinium pallidum with Smilax rotundifolia.

ELU 210 (steep N slope on sandstone) near border with 211 (steep S slope on sandstone); Dry spit community, may be near edge of small Pinus virginiana polygon.
