Old railroad grade (hike, bike trail) above floodplain. Towards river the forest has less shrub cover and more sycamore and silver maple.;Floodplain forest just downstream from tributary mouth. Probably impacted by 2001 summer tributary flooding and by occasional main river flooding. Forest is mostly tulip poplar with abundant blue beech in subcanopy. Many species typical of upland mixed mesophytic forest but also with flood disturbance indicators such as Verbasina alternifolia, Chasmanthium latifolium etc....

ELU 1233 (low elevation slope bottom on sandstone). Floodplain forest on upper terrace (small patch).
