This plot is mostly wet because of the seep, but it is also influenced by the dry hillside vegetation. Many of the typical dry hillside species are present at least at the edge of this plot (Quercus prinus, Acer pennsylvanicum, Oxydendrum arboreum, etc... Because this plot is moister than its surroundings many of the species from lower on the slope are present here (Aesculus flava, Tilia americana).;This plot is a small seep area in an otherwise very dry hillside.
