Even aged stand of White Pine on a level upland bench on rolling plateau just uphill from long wetland and surrounded by a matrix of deciduous forest. Community is dominated by large Pinus strobus with a sparse understory with heavy cover by needle litter and low plant diversity dominated by Lycopodium digitatum. Community probably a plantation, but White Pine saplings are common in open areas and are a distinctive component of the wetland/upland edge.
Representativeness
This plot is in a Pinus strobus stand. This may be a remnant of the large Pinus strobus stand that used to be in the Glade Creek area.
