Landscape Narrative ? Narrow stream corridor (both N and S aspect with this c.t.) with hemlock dominance potential. Beach dominates successional overstory. Rhododendrons occur in patches and herbaceous understory is sparse and species poor. The community on the plateau above is dominated by Quercus prinus, Acer rubrum, etc...;The plot is located in a narrow northeast facing side of a ravine. There are many of these ravines dissecting the Kate's Plateau area.
