Near the field along the edges is Onoclea sensibilis, Rosa multiflora, Rubus, Phalaris arundinacea, Acer saccharinum, Salix nigra and Acer negundo. A higher hay field to the west seperates the Ohio River from the community. A raised RR bed lies to the east.;The area is permanently inundated with an area of open water in the south central part of the community closest to the creek. The water is 20 cm. above the soil.
